I want to get a new large TV, like over 60″ in size. The plasma & LCD ones are VERY expensive compared to the rear-projection ones. There is plenty of room where I plan to put it, so there is not a space restriction that woudl benefit a flat panel vs. the projection. Only downside I’ve heard is that you have to replace the bulbs on them? Is that true? Are there other disadvantages of projection that make plasma or lcd worth the extra cost?
I am interested in buying a new TV. I was just wondering what the two above meant. If a TV is LCD, does that mean it is flat in the back and doesn’t jut out? If not, what is the word for this type of television? What does plasma mean? If you can, include other types of TV ‘lingo’ like such. Please, no long scientific explanations.
