I would like to purchase an LCD (not plasma) TV, 30 inches minimum.

Does anyone know how or when to find a deal in the U.S.? Should I wait until the after Christmas sales? I don’t really want to wait that long, but I will if it will save me a ton of $.

I really would like a Samsung or other bug name brand (maybe you have a brand you could recommend?). I am looking to spend $500-$700–if that is possible and would prefer to buy from a store (not online).

Okay, our old t.v. brokeofold age, like 12 years, so we’re finding a new one. We want a 42 inch screen,no bigger, prefeibly not less. We want a flat screen, There are a few things that I wold like to know…

What do you prefer?
1.1080p or 720p
2. Plasma or LCD
3. What Company?

I would like a website or store, we have ideas but we want opinions. We’re looking for one under $1400 for a 42 inch.
There needs to be ,at least, 3 regular ports for game systems, DVD players, exc. and 1 or 2 for HD. The buttons CAN NOT BE ON THE TOP OF THE TV!!!!!!. We also need, or want, glare prevention or something like it. I you could leave a website then that wold be great.

the sony one looks a lot better so what is the catch?

I have a 57″ 1080i projection TV. I have a HD tuner with direct tv and the picture is phenominal. Looking into buying a blu-ray player soon too. Is it worth the money to upgrade my tv to a bit smaller lcd or plasma with 1080p capabilities? Is the improvement worth $1500-$2500 ?

I’m choosing between 50″ Vizio Plasma 720p HDTV VP50HDTV20A, 40″ Sony Bravia® LCD 1080p HDTV KDL40VL130, 42″ Philips LCD 1080p HDTV 42PFL7422D/37. I will be using it with a Ps3 and Xbox 360.
And watching bluray movies

I’m going to be getting an HDTV soon and a ps3. First of, should I set my T.V. to 720p or 1080i? Second of all, LCD or Plasma? I know plasmas are brighter and sharper but will they have problems with games.
